Student Publications
The BHS Times is written and edited by the students of Brighton High School in Brighton, MI. Students are responsible for brainstorming, writing, editing, layout, photography, funding, and publishing. Students also contribute a monthly page to the Brighton Argus and articles to The Brighton Patch.
Taurus Canis
Taurus Canis is Brighton High's very own annual literary magazine encompassing various students' contributions of poetry, short stories, vignettes, drawings, paintings, photography, and more. Contact us @ bhslitmag2016@gmail.com to inquire about old copies or request a future one. If you are a student, please consider contributing your writing or art to this email address as well. Yearbook
If you want to purchase a yearbook, prices will go up in early October, so order early! Order link: https://www.yearbooknerds.com/brighton-high-school. We sold out last year; make sure to order early for the lowest price and to guarantee a book. If your senior is unable to purchase a yearbook, please contact the Main Office and we will do our best to make sure a donated book or book scholarship is made available to your senior.
INFORMATION FOR SENIORS
SENIOR PORTRAITS
Formal senior portraits for the yearbook must be uploaded per the instructions (see PDF below) no later than November 8. Here is a link for uploading: https://www.yearbooknerds.com/brighton-high-school You will be redirected to a private photo sharing site. This link is provided to photographers and seniors submitting senior pictures ONLY for use in the Brighton High School Yearbook.
Once the deadline has passed and we have assessed each portrait, a list will be made available for you to review. Check your email and the announcements for updates.
Students who need their formal senior portrait taken will be given the opportunity to sign up for Portraits by Alex in October. Please watch the announcements and email for forthcoming information on that.
SENIOR DIRECTORY
The Senior Directory Form (link: https://forms.gle/MNWjFSWmR1yvKXm5A) is also due November 8. This is the information that will appear next to your name and formal portrait in the yearbook. PARENTS: PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE THIS IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN AS YOUR STUDENT - DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN AS YOURSELF OR THE RESPONSE WILL BE DELETED.
SENIOR ADS
Parents who wish to purchase a senior recognition ad, follow this link: https://www.yearbooknerds.com/brighton-high-school. The deadline is early this year - January 10, 2025. Yearbook ads let your student know how proud you are, in a lasting and memorable way. Select some of your favorite photos, choose a layout, add your personal message and you’re in. Remember to buy the yearbook too, so you can see your yearbook ad in person!
